Life doesn’t always move in a straight line especially

Change can become the moment where clarity, growth, and new possibilities begin.

Change can feel uncomfortable

Sometimes, you know something needs to change, but you’re not sure how to start or you’re scared of what might come next. That’s completely normal.

But it can also become the moment where clarity, growth, and new possibilities begin.

Whether you’re navigating a personal transition, stepping into leadership, or supporting people through change in your organisation, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

ver the years, through my work with individuals and organisations, I developed a simple framework that helps people move through change with greater clarity, awareness, and intention.

I call it the Return to Yourself Framework.

It is designed to help people reconnect with who they are, develop clarity about what matters, and move forward with confidence in times of uncertainty.

This framework underpins my work across coaching, leadership development, workshops, and keynote speaking.

“The Return to Yourself” Framework

The "Return to yourself" framework is the rough structure I use in coaching to help guide that process

The Return to Yourself Framework is the structure I use in my work to help individuals and leaders navigate periods of change with greater clarity and self-awareness.

It’s not a rigid formula — it’s more like a map we can use to understand where you are and what might help you move forward.

Periods of change often create uncertainty, whether in life, leadership, or career. The purpose of this framework is to help you reconnect with yourself, gain clarity about what matters, and move forward in a way that feels aligned and intentional.

It’s a five-step process designed to help people navigate transitions more consciously. Along the way we explore emotions, challenge internal barriers, reconnect with values and identity, and turn insight into meaningful action.

Through this process, people don’t just leave with a plan — they leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger connection to themselves and their direction.

Step 1: Name your emotions

The first step is creating space to acknowledge and understand what you’re experiencing, rather than pushing it aside. Naming emotions helps bring clarity to situations that initially feel overwhelming.

Step 2: Release what holds you back

This step focuses on recognising the patterns, fears, or assumptions that may be holding you back and developing a more supportive mindset moving forward

Step 3: Reconnect with your core

This stage focuses on reconnecting with your values, priorities, and identity – the foundation that guides decisions and leadership.

Step 4: Build the life that you want

This stage focuses on creating a vision for the future and identifying practical steps that align with your values and direction.

Step 5: Make change last

This final stage focuses on turning insight into consistent action so that the changes you make become sustainable over time.
